Birth Photography

For 5+ years I’ve dedicated my life to documenting the most amazing love stories. I’ve followed families into the OR, hospital rooms, birth centers and various rooms in their homes. I’ve documented first breaths and cries, moments where the world stopped and started all at once. And you know what.. it’s been the greatest five years of my life. I’ve truly found my calling when I’m in the birth space with my camera in hand. Loving your family from behind my lens. Holding space and giving you words of encouragement.

So what is the process of hiring me as your birth photographer?

GREAT QUESTION! First — you reach out! We’ll chat a little about your birth (due date, place of birth, care provider, etc) THEN, once I know I have room on my calendar for you and you’re ready to book we’ll schedule a phone meeting or in person meeting to talk about all the details of which package you’d like to book! We’ll go over your contract and sign it and you’ll pay your retainer fee of $500. You’ll also fill out a questionnaire and you’ll officially be on my calendar! We’ll schedule your maternity session for when you’re around 32-36 weeks along. These photos will be a great opportunity to talk about how your pregnancy is going and your birth plans. Then I’ll patiently be waiting for a call or text for you or your partner letting me know it’s BABY TIME. I’ll join you in your birth space once you’re in active labor and I’ll be with you until about 2ish hours after you deliver! You’ll receive 5-6 sneak peak images within 12 hours of me leaving your birth and your full gallery of images within 2 weeks of your birth and if you have a birth film you’ll receive it within 4 weeks!

Doula & Birth photography

As I’m sure you read I’ve dedicated the last 5+ years of my life to birth and documenting each milestone for growing families. My love for birth has grown deeper and deeper as the years have passed and I realized I was doing more than just watching and documenting.. I was engaging and learning new things about physiological birth with each one I attended. . . Finally I decided to take a leap. I enrolled in a doula course with BEST doula certification.

What is a doula? “A doula is a person who provides emotional and physical support to you during your pregnancy and childbirth. Doulas are not medical professionals. They don't deliver babies or provide medical care. A certified doula has taken a training program and passed an exam in how to help pregnant women and their families during this exciting but challenging experience.”

Together during your pregnancy we discuss your ideal birth. We’ll schedule two in person prenatal meetings and I’ll be available to you by phone whenever you have any questions at all. We’ll talk about your birthing options and I will help educate you on the birthing process. The more knowledge you have, the better decisions you can make for yourself and your baby. When it comes time for your birth — I’ll be by your side from the time you decide you need me until after you’ve fed your baby and you’ve both somewhat adjusted to your new life together. (About 2ish hours) About a week after your birth we’ll have postpartum visit so we can chat about how you’re both doing now that you’re home. We’ll talk about your birth experience and anything you may have questions about.

At this time, I can’t take doula only clients. I’m not sure I know how to enter a birth space without my camera in hand. So you can add doula services to your birth photography collection!

• Fresh 48 coverage - 1 hour within 48 hours of delivery at place of birth

• Newborn Session - 20 digital images included

Fresh Baby | $499

• On Call starting at week 38 of your pregnancy

• Fresh 48 coverage - 1 hour within 48 hours of delivery at place of birth

• All final edited high resolution images from your birth via digital download

• Digital Birth Announcement within 6 hours of session to use on social media and send to family

DOULA support | $500

• Doula services can be added on to any BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY/FILM package - not fresh 48.

• 2 Prenatal visits
