Meet Your Photographer

The days my children were born are the very best days of my life. My oldest daughter's birth was long and painful and honestly, I don't remember much of it. There aren't many images as my support didn't think about it. My second birth I put my husband in charge of the camera.. yet again, there aren't many images... and the ones I do have are out of focus. Mentally his birth was so quick it's hard to process. Finally, with my youngest, I did what I should have done all along. I hired a photographer. And you know what, those images are everything. While I did experience birth trauma from her birth, I look at those images and know that I was strong. I fought for her and the moment she was born, the happiness and joy and tears, I have it to look back on forever.

I've built my career around serving other women by documenting every detail of the most important days of their lives and all the days to follow. From the waves of labor that bring their little one into this world to the smallest of details such as the flakes of dry skin on their newborn and the gentle snuggles their three year old gives them. These are the moments I live to document for you, to give you your memories to relive whenever your heart calls to them.

More about me? I'm a Java Chip loving Mama of 3. (Karleigh-2012, Emmett-2013 & Leighton-2015) Marvel (Captain Marvel & Black Widow are my favorites — Strong women saving the strong men — heck yes! ), Harry Potter & Star Wars are some of my very favorite movies that my family and I watch over and over again. (Nerd Alert!) I like a glass of wine every now and again — when I’m off call of course. I dream of traveling. I love going to the movies. Universal Studios & Disney World is our second home — I’m also a Travel Agent! I try to eat healthy but that cookie dough ice creams calls to my soul. Sometimes I stay up late staring at my kids while they sleep thinking about how my heart might explode at any moment, even though just hours before that I thought they were going to make my head explode.

Experience

I've photographed 170+ births as well as given birth 3 times myself and been through a devastating miscarriage of our first little one. I’m working on becoming a certified BEST Doula. I've taken several newborn photography classes on newborn safety and posing. My camera bag has 2 professional grade cameras as well as a number of lenses. So I have the camera experience, but on top of that I have a deep passion for all things motherhood. Pregnancy, Birth, Newborns and every single moment after. Showing women how strong and important they are is my life's mission, I want to do that for you too.
