Meet Your Photographer

Hi, I’m Kayla—the girl who always has a book in her bag, a camera in her hand, a loaf of homemade bread cooling on the counter, and a Coke Zero within arm’s reach.

I married my high school sweetheart and together we have three kids who are my absolute favorite people in the world. Our two dogs and our cat are right up there too (and yes, they absolutely count as family). This season of life—messy, loud, tender, and fleeting—is the reason I photograph the way I do.

I believe the best photos feel like memories, not poses. The kind that take you right back to the way your toddler’s hand fit perfectly in yours, the way your baby smelled right after a nap, or the laughter that happened in between the “perfect” moments. Those in-between details are what matter most to me.

When I’m not photographing families, you’ll find me traveling whenever I can, getting lost in a really good book (romance, fantasy, and morally gray characters forever), baking sourdough, and romanticizing everyday life. Motherhood keeps me grounded, stories fuel my creativity, and all of it shows up in my work.

My sessions are relaxed, family-friendly, and completely judgment-free. No pressure. No stiff smiles. Just gentle guidance, real connection, and space for your family to be exactly who they are. I’ll take care of the details so you can stay present with the people you love most.

If you’re looking for images that feel warm, honest, and deeply meaningful—and a photographer who truly understands this season—you’re in the right place. I’d be honored to tell your story.
